FEBRUARY


 

This is the dark
Before the dawn
This is the worse
Before it gets better
This is the weary, dreary
Month of February
Hunched beneath the helmet sky
Stumbling toward spring.

Jim Boring lives on the Illinois-Wisconsin border from which vantage point he is able to peer into the woods dark and deep or the city equally dark and deep. He has published in the small press and in the Chicago Tribune Magazine. He is the Marketing Director of Literary Potpourri.
