JULY 2002 ISSUE #8

Greetings!

LIT POT JUST CONTINUES TO BLOOM!

And speaking of 'Blooms' do NOT miss Glenn Osborn's photo essay this month, "The Floral Dreams of Hector Montoya" -- and give yourself time to 'smell the roses' by not rushing it. Let the 'magic' load for a minute, the wait is worth it, I promise you.

ANTHOLOGY #2

We actually sold out of Anthology #2, and so we've reprinted 50 copies just for you slowpokes that haven't gotten your orders in yet. Don't drag your feet, order today!

Anthology #1 has nearly sold out, but there's still six copies left if somebody wants one. In all likelihood, we will NOT reprint this issue. It's a keeper now!
ORDER NOW,

ALL PROFITS GO TO THE FUND FOR PAYING STIPENDS TO WRITERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS.

THE LIT POT LOTTERY

Congratulations to Ellen Champagne, the winner of our Levenger's $189 folding Editor's Desk. We thank everyone who participated in this fun random drawing.

If you're curious about how the winner was chosen, I'll tell you the genesis. First I wrote to my staff and suggested that each of them send me a number, and I would add their choices together and divide by Staff members. I got the following numbers: #4, #63, #66, and divided by 3. Got #44 which was Ellen Champagne from Texas. (the list was sorted by first name, alphabetically, instead of Last Name, to make it a bit more random.) Everyone had a good time with this one.

Don't forget that buying your gifts and special goods from Levenger is directly supporting Literary Potpourri. We thank you for your patronage. They're a great company with great products.

MILD HORSE NOMINEES

We were proud to nominate Beverly Carol Lucey and Wendy Vaizey for the $100 prize competition for Mild Horse Press. See Details Congratulations to the nominees.
