CROTCH ROCKET

one fifty plus
racing the red   
leaning into corners       
knee pad scraping tarmac       
the checkered flag   
her sexy squeeze kiss
the high of highs


because you're still alive.


on the straights
   crotch rocket -
       in a darth vader helmet
       gut check speed
   the crowd's adulation
because she's turned on

Gerard C. Smith authored the NASCAR Murder Mystery, WHITE LIGHTNING, that is out looking for a publisher and is working on another stock car racing novel tentatively titled TO LIVE AND DIE IN DIXIE. He also write short stories.
