Editor's Notes
October 2002 ISSUE #11
Greetings!
Upping the Ante!
AND THE WINNER WAS.... Ellen Champagne won the Lit Pot lottery for the editor's
desk presented by our sponsor. We had to beg and cajole to get a photo from her,
but thought you'd like to see our lucky winner hard at work at her beautiful Levenger desk.
ANTHOLOGY #3
This is our first edition carrying the photography essays in black & white, and we think they look terrific. Contributor-copies shipped on September 16th, and we apologize for the late date. The books arrived in tattered boxes, and I was worried the books were damaged, but we got lucky and found the contents untouched. Additional orders are being filled immediately as they come in, and there's only a few books left, so don't hesitate to get your orders in soon!

THE CARRINGTON MONOLOGUES
Is it possible you don't know about this book?
It is the premier book of the Literary Potpourri Poetry Series which kicks off a brand new, non-profit California small press, Lit Pot Press, Inc. It was written by Terri Brown-Davidson, a brilliant diva, and is a book-length series of poems about Dora Carrington--sizzingly sexy, imaginative, shocking and a glorious piece of literature.
I urge you to buy a copy and see for yourself. See the Press
LIT POT PRESS, INC.
We are thrilled to report that we received
our non-profit incorporation papers, and an encouraging letter from the California Arts
Council. We have opened a new website for Lit Pot Press, Inc. at http://www.LitPotPress.com.
Check out our offerings and check in every so often to see what's cooking.
SUPPORT LEVENGER!
Don't forget that by supporting our sponsor, we can continue to produce books and cash as payment to our writers and artists. Show your gratitude by purchasing gifts and products for yourself from this special company, who considers art and literature a worthy cause.

THE OCTOBER 2002 ISSUE #11
This month, I pulled out the stops and published a mix of work which may not be
popular with all readers. But that's my intention. I think it's fun to open our minds
to new ways of writing, new ways of thinking, and at the same time, keep our sense of
humor -- even if it's a little non-PC. We have hypermodern fiction by Kenji Siratori,
a young Japanese innovator, a really 'in your face' flash by T.K Mancia about a hungry
terrorist, an amazing essay by Ronald F. Curry, Jr. which I'd love to send to the White
House, (but fear the point might be lost); and a book review of a novel by Jennifer Macaire that is more
fun than Macedonia.
In addition, we have the classic excellence of Beverly Carol Lucey, Paul A. Toth, Douglas
Campbell, and Jeffrey Hartman, with his first published story, which is knock-out.
Don't miss the amazing poetry by Lalo Fox, Rod Riesco and Eric Bosse. And I'm sure
you won't be able to resist WomanWorld photos of the gentler gender as rendered by Nathan
Combs.
It's a hot issue. Hope you enjoy it!
Don't forget to sign up for our 30-second newsletter. (The shortest newsletter on the web!) It will remind you when new material is being published, and you don't want to miss an issue!
Yours, sincerely,
