DOGGED POEM
by
Greg Bauder

Howling at paperboys
and letter carriers,
transporters of words,
it snarls and bites
at fat cats who collar
and kennel it
yet, unashamed,
it yelps
through time.
Barking, pissing
at the tree of life--
a poem is loose!
